Parent-School Partnership Programme

Child experts believe that both the school and parents have significant roles to play when it comes to the education and holistic development of children. Both cannot work independently. When educators, school leaders, parents, and peers work together as a team, they can help create the best learning environment for children that fosters their overall (i.e., physical, mental, emotional, social, intellectual & spiritual) development and well-being. While teachers learn about a child's personality, interests, learning style, needs, family background, home environment, etc., from their parents, the parents get to know about their child's strengths, weaknesses, social interactions, academic potential, mindset, etc., from the teachers' class observations. The input from both parents and teachers is valuable feedback for children. Thus, schools and parents must come together to ensure the maximum growth of students.

Considering the importance of parental involvement in education and the need for a strong, long-term parent-teacher relationship, The Millennium School, Greater Noida West, implements a "Parent School Partnership Programme" that aims to:

  • Involve parents in the mainstream education of their child,
  • Make parents acquainted with the school's policies, functioning, education philosophy, and happenings,
  • Enhance their understanding of topics, issues, and challenges related to child development and learning,
  • Offer mentorship and support in parenting,
  • Keep them abreast of the recent updates and trends in education, technology, etc.,
  • Inform parents about the child's skills, academic performance, knowledge, understanding level, and social interactions,
  • Build their efficacy so they can support us in implementing the lessons learned at school in the home, as well,
  • Strengthen parent-teacher-peer bonds,
  • Invite their valuable insights on how we can further enrich the child's education,
  • Collectively, find solutions to children's issues, and
  • Create more growth opportunities for students.

With parents as partners, The Millennium School, one of the top schools in Greater Noida West, aspires to accelerate the growth of each student. Under our PSP programme, we:

  • Conduct regular parenting workshops and training sessions on a diverse range of topics (like adolescence, phonics, POCSO, child safety, cyber security, etc.) to keep our parents informed and offer them support in parenting,
  • Host in-school meetings and coffee mornings to exchange child anecdotes and come up with the best possible ways to enhance their growth,
  • Arrange social activities and events (like Christmas Carnivals, outings, picnics, etc.) that ensure child well-being and make learning more enjoyable for students,
  • Offer regular, detailed, and structured update of the student's academic performance at regular intervals,
  • Connect parents with other individuals and organisations (like counsellors, mentors, subject experts, sports academies, NGOs, etc.) that can offer them dedicated support in terms of their child's development.
