Safety Policy & Measures

As a school—a "home away from home" for our students and staff, ensuring their safety & well-being and protecting their interests is of paramount importance to us. The Millennium School, one of the top schools in Greater Noida West, undertakes every precautionary measure to ensure that our students, staff, and visitors have a safe and enjoyable experience with us. Some of the stringent security measures in place include the following.

  1. Real-Time, 24x7 CCTV Monitoring:
    1. Our entire campus is furnished with CCTV cameras (that cover all entry and exit points, classrooms, corridors, learning zones, playground, swimming pool deck, corridors outside washrooms, common areas, and activity areas on the lower ground floor).
    2. The day-to-day activities are recorded, and the live feed is closely monitored by a dedicated IT team during the school hours to prevent any untoward happenings.
    3. All the members of the security and housekeeping team are background-verified by a third-party agency and POCSO-certified by the experts. They have received rigorous trainings on safety and emergency management. Throughout their employment with us, we arrange weekly and fortnightly trainings for them on child safety, disaster prevention, emergency control, etc., to ensure they are aware and informed of the latest trends and updates.
  2. Restricted Visitor Entries:
    1. Visitors and school transportation have distinct entry and exit points on our campus. Trained security personnel are stationed at all entry/exit points to monitor the in-and-out activities of the visitors.
    2. All visitors are provided with a visitor's ID card to access the campus. We follow a two-step verification process for our guests at the front gate and reception. The guests aren't allowed to interact with the students on campus.
    3. All our staff members carry staff IDs that display their names & designations and are digitally scanned upon entry and exit. The gates are closed once school starts, and students or teachers aren't allowed to leave the campus without the principal's permission.
    4. Our class/subject teachers supervise all kinds of student activities (whether indoor, outdoor, or off-campus). Our teachers have the right to approach and question any unfamiliar individuals in the academic wing.
    5. The gates are open at the time of dispersal. Students are allowed to exit with their parents/guardians, who need to produce an escort card before picking them up.
    6. To ensure the safety of our students, we have set down specific visiting hours for visits (which are given in the next section), school events, workshop schedules, and PTM days for parents. We request parents/guardians to avoid visiting their child's classroom during school hours to pick up or drop off something.
  3. Background Checks:
    1. Our security team is in-charge of keeping an eye on the campus maintenance works, individual movements, visitor verification, etc.
    2. A third party conducts background checks of all teachers, admin staff, and housekeeping staff employed under us.
  4. Preventive Measures:
    1. There are separate washrooms for male & female students, staff members, housekeeping staff, and visitors. Pre-schoolers are accompanied by classroom helpers to the washrooms.
    2. Children are accompanied by adults to the staircase, lift areas, swimming pools, activity zones, and other areas around the campus that require greater vigilance and supervision.
    3. The Millennium School has partnered up with established, trusted & renowned organisations for various academic, sports, and extra-curricular activities. Their team arranges any on-campus/off-campus events, learning sessions, or activities for students in collaboration with our staff.
    4. The school has set up a student committee that is led by middle school and senior students. They are responsible for keeping a tab on the classroom happenings and reporting any untoward incidents or irregular activities to the school staff. We also have student-parent-teacher committee in place to discuss on the school policies and security measures with the objective to create safe and conducive learning spaces for all.
    5. We place great trust and faith in our students and encourage them to build a safe and positive school culture. Students of middle school and senior school actively take on the role to generate awareness and ensure the safety of their fellow school mates. Some of the students are appointed as bus monitors to maintain safety, well-being, and discipline inside the school bus. Students also participate in safety awareness campaigns to educate their contemporaries and stand up for their rights. For instance, in the academic session 2022-23, our middle school students launched the anti-bullying campaign to raise voice against on-campus bullying and help their friends cope with such situations.
    6. We arrange workshops on safety laws, preventive measures, etc., for students, staff, and parents on a regular basis to generate awareness.
  5. Readiness For Emergencies:
    1. The school has a well-stocked infirmary to manage health emergencies on the campus. The school infirmary is supervised by a team of trained nurses and a MBBS & MD certified paediatrician from the Yatharth Hospital to attend to the unexpected injuries and sickness of students during school hours. The medical staff is experienced and qualified to administer first aid and provide immediate treatment to the students in need.
    2. The school infirmary is furnished with all the basic provisions, along with an emergency ambulance service to handle any unexpected emergency. At the time of admission, we gather and maintain medical records of all students, especially “high-risk cases”, i.e., students who’re vulnerable to allergies or suffering from a specific disorder, so that our medical professionals are prepared to offer the correct treatment on time, should an emergency arise when the child is at school.

    4. Specific transport routes, schedules, and guidelines are set up for students.
    5. Children are not allowed to move around, peek outside, or leave the bus when it is moving. The gates and windows are tightly shut when the bus is on the move.
    6. All security measures and transport facilities are headed by a centrally organised admin team, consisting of a dedicated admin in-charge and a transport in-charge.
