1 OCTOBER 2019 (TUESDAY) – GANDHI JAYANTI
We at Millennium celebrate all the festivals to spread love and happiness.
Gandhi Jayanti is a National Festival celebrated in India to mark the birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi born 2 October 1869. Internationally this day is celebrated as the International Day of Non-Violence, as Gandhiji was the preacher of non-violence, peace and truthfulness.
An Assembly will be organized to convey the significance of Gandhi Jayanti by the students of Classes II & III on 1October 2019.
Gandhiji Portrait Activity will be conducted for the students of Class – I.
A Poster Making Activity – ‘I love Bapu’ will be conducted for the students of Classes II & III.
4 OCTOBER 2019 (FRIDAY) – DUSSEHRA
Dussehra, also called Vijayadashami, a festival marking the triumph of Rama, an avatar of Vishnu, over the 10-headed demon King Ravana, who abducted Rama’s wife, Sita. Symbolizing the victory of good over evil, the festival’s name is derived from the Sanskrit words Dasha ‘ten’ and Hara ‘defeat’.
A Special Assembly by the students of Class – I on 4 October 2019 will be organized to provide the students a platform to demonstrate their understanding of the festival and the values they should imbibe in their life.
15 OCTOBER 2019 (TUESDAY) – WORLD STUDENTS’ DAY
Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam’s love for students and focus on promoting education made the United Nations declared his birthday – 15 October as ‘World Students’ Day’ in 2010.
A Special Assembly will be organized to convey the significance of World Students’ Day by the students of Classes II & III on 15 October 2019.
A motivational video on the struggling life of Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam will be shown to the students of Class I – III.
18 OCTOBER 2019 (FRIDAY) – ACTIVITY: NECK TIE KNOT
Class III Activity: The students need to carry their father’s tie to the School for the Neck Tie Knot Activity on 18 October 2019 to learn and develop life skills practical training of dressing up.
19 OCTOBER 2019 (SATURDAY) – VISIT TO KOHINOOR BISCUIT PRODUCTS’ FACTORY,
SECTOR-63, NOIDA
The students of the Pre-Primary & Primary Wings will be visiting Kohinoor Biscuit Products’ Factory at Sector - 63, Noida on Saturday, 19 October 2019. Please remember to send the following items with your ward, labelled water bottle, tiffin, handkerchief and cap. Children have to be dressed neatly in the school uniform with their ID card. Parents are requested to encourage their ward to be a part of this Experiential Learning. Please fill the Consent Form attached and submit the same by Friday, 4 October 2019.No Consent will be accepted telephonically.

21 – 24 OCTOBER 2019 – DIWALI CELEBRATION
Diwali (Deepavali) or the Festival of Lights is a five-day festival, which starts on Dhanteras, followed by Chhoti Diwali, Diwali, Govardhan Puja and ends with Bhai Dooj. Diwali is one of the most important festivals of the year and is celebrated in families by performing traditional activities together in their homes.
A Special Assembly will be organized to convey the significance of Diwali festival& celebrate the victory of righteousness & celebration by the students of Classes II & III on 24 October 2019. The students of Class I – III need to come dressed in traditional Indian dress for Diwali Celebration.
A Diya Decoration Activity will be conducted for the students of Class I – III on 21 & 22 October 2019. The children will bring earthen Diyas (Size – Diameter 2∙5 inches)and decorative material for the same from home[latest by 16 Oct 2019 to the School].
An Inter-House Rangoli Making Competition will be conducted for the students of Class I – III on 23 October 2019. The children will bring different colours, flowers and decorative material for the same from home [latest by 18 Oct 2019 to the School]. The students will design a beautiful combination of various colours, to create an enchanting piece of art – Rangoli.
