1 OCTOBER 2019 (TUESDAY) – GANDHI JAYANTI
We at Millennium celebrate all the festivals to spread love and happiness.
Gandhi Jayanti is a National Festival celebrated in India to mark the birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi born 2 October 1869. Internationally this day is celebrated as the International Day of Non-Violence, as Gandhiji was the preacher of non-violence, peace and truthfulness.

4 OCTOBER 2019 (FRIDAY) – DUSSEHRA
Dussehra, also called Vijayadashami, a festival marking the triumph of Rama, an avatar of Vishnu, over the 10-headed demon King Ravana, who abducted Rama’s wife, Sita. Symbolizing the victory of good over evil, the festival’s name is derived from the Sanskrit words Dasha ‘ten’ and Hara ‘defeat’.

15 OCTOBER 2019 (TUESDAY) –GLOBAL HANDWASHING DAY
Global Handwashing Day was founded by the Global Handwashing Partnership, and is an opportunity to design, test, and replicate creative ways to encourage people to wash their hands with soap at critical times.
The 2019 Global Handwashing Day theme is ‘Clean Hands for All.’

Say Goodbye to Germs Session with Doctor will be organized for the students on 15 October 2019. The students need to carry a liquid hand wash & napkin to the School for the Bubble Buddies Activity to learn and develop proper hand-washing practice.

21 OCTOBER 2019 (MONDAY) – ANIMAL PARADE
Animals play a vital role in the lives of the little ones. Children love animals for the very simple reason that they connect to them without any expectations or outcomes but purely with love and natural awe.

To help the little ones learn about animals, the children need to come dressed as different animals and speak few lines about the animal they are depicting. The aim of this activity is to help the children explore their imagination & creativity, build confidence, enhance vocabulary, speaking skills and overcome stage fear.

19 OCTOBER 2019 (SATURDAY) – VISIT TO KOHINOOR BISCUIT PRODUCTS’ FACTORY,
SECTOR-63, NOIDA
The students of the Pre-Primary & Primary Wings will be visiting Kohinoor Biscuit Products’ Factory at Sector - 63, Noida on Saturday, 19 October 2019. Please remember to send the following items with your ward, labelled water bottle, tiffin, handkerchief and cap. Children have to be dressed neatly in the school uniform with their ID card. Parents are requested to encourage their ward to be a part of this Experiential Learning. Please fill the Consent Form attached and submit the same by Friday, 4 October 2019. No Consent will be accepted telephonically.
Visit Details:
School Timings: 08:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M.
Visit Timings: 09:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M.
Reporting Time to the School: Sharp 08:30 A.M.

24 OCTOBER 2019 – DIWALI CELEBRATION
Diwali (Deepavali) or the Festival of Lights is a five-day festival, which starts on Dhanteras, followed by Chhoti Diwali, Diwali, Govardhan Puja and ends with Bhai Dooj. Diwali is one of the most important festivals of the year and is celebrated in families by performing traditional activities together in their homes.

Notes:
Diya Decoration Activity: The children will bring earthen Diyas (Size – Diameter 2∙5 inches) and decorative material for the same from home [latest by 16 Oct 2019 to the School].
Rangoli Making Activity: The children will bring different colours, flowers and decorative material for the same from home [24 Oct 2019 to the School].
